AKRON, Ohio A 25-year-old man suspected of robbing a branch of Buckeye State Credit Union here was tasered by a police officer after he refused to comply with an order to get on the ground.
The suspect, Efrem J. Twitty, Jr., allegedly entered the branch and demanded money. He was followed by a security officer after fleeing the scene. An Akron police office who found Twitty several blocks from the credit union issued the order to get on the ground, before tasering and handcuffing him.
Officers said they recovered cash in Twitty’s possession.
