Polish & Slavic FCU Names Banker As New CEO

NEW YORK – Polish & Slavic FCU, the nation’s biggest ethnic credit union, has hired Oskar Mielczarek, an experienced banker, as president and CEO of the $1.4 billion credit union.

Mielczarek has worked as an executive with J.P. Morgan Chase, Merrill Lynch and Barclays in North America and Europe. He speaks Polish, English, Spanish and French.

Mielczarek has a master’s degree in business administration from the Harvard Business School, and a bachelor’s degree in European business administration from ICADE University in Madrid and Middlesex University in London.
