* Know security features such as alarms, bait money, cameras and height markers.
* Approach people who appear to be casing the credit union.
* Maintain a readily accessible list of post-robbery trauma counselors.
* Establish strict opening/closing procedures.
* Have an ambush/distress code.
During:
* Remain as calm as possible.
* Do not look a robber directly in the eye.
* Follow the robber's instructions exactly -no more, no less and never try and be a hero.
* Observe the robber's voice, gun, mannerisms, scars or other features.
* Know when to sound the alarm.
* Include bait money, if possible.
After:
* Immediately lock perimeter doors to keep the robber out.
* Call police.
* Fill out robber description forms.
* Conduct post-robbery trauma counseling.
