JACKSONVILLE, Fla.– Summit Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm, said yesterday it has acquired 85% of Life of the South, a provider and third-party administrator of credit insurance for credit unions, banks, and others. The management-led buyout will leave 15% of the company owned by top managers. The deal was valued at $100 million.
