Empire Names Speakers, Intro's CD
ALBANY, N.Y.-Empire Corporate FCU has announced the speakers for its Financial Strategies Conference, Sept. 28-30, at the Hyatt Regency in Newport, R.I. Speakers will include CUNA Economist Dr. Bill Hampel, the Sievewright & Associate's Mark Sievewright, and Randall J. Mims talking about "Leading with Lending," among others.
Separately, Empire Corporate has launched a new Floating Rate CD that has attracted approximately $3.5 million in approximately one month's time. The product is tied to the one-month LIBOR and resets monthly. "In fact, the first rate reset on June 14, 2004, has garnered members taking advantage of the competitive CD a 14 basis point rate increase for all terms," the corporate said.

CU Nat'l Mortgage, League In Deal
PINE BROOK, N.J.-CU National Mortgage and the New Jersey Credit Union League have entered into an agreement to provide mortgage services to credit unions. Each participating credit union will have access through CU National Mortgage to an interactive Prime Alliance Online Mortgage Center site, as well as the support from a toll-free call center. Loans will be closed and serviced in each CU's name, whether they are sold into the secondary market or retained as a portfolio asset.

CUDL Reduces Transaction Fees
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.-CU Direct Corp. said that credit unions participating in its Credit Union Direct Lending (CUDL) program will have a reduction in transaction fees, effective July 1, 2004. "The expansion of the CUDL program into additional markets, the growing number of credit unions aggregating on the auto lending platform, and new product channels, contributed to higher than expected earnings," the company said.
Two CUs In Terms With PSCUFS
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.-PSCU Financial Services, the nation's largest CUSO, announced five-year agreements with Southeast Financial Credit Union, Nashville, Tenn., and COMSTAR Federal Credit Union, Clarksburg, Md., to continue to handle card processing services for credit and debit cardholders. Educators Credit Union, Nashville, Tenn., also executed a five-year agreement with the company for its credit card processing services for its more than 9,100 credit card accounts.
