Watching Fraud Like A Hawk

ONTARIO, Calif.-The CO-OP Network, the nation's largest credit union EFT network, has introduced a new tool for protecting PIN-based transactions: the enhanced Falcon Fraud Manager. The system, which previously scored only signature-based debit, will now accommodate pin-based ATM and debit card transactions, and is the most effective means available for ATM, Visa and MasterCard issuers to prevent fraudulent transactions, according to CO-OP Network EVP Jim Hanisch.

Developed by Fair, Isaac and Company Inc., a leading provider of creative analytic technology, Falcon Fraud Manager prevents losses by calculating and assigning scores to incoming transactions using data-modeling and individual member history profiles.

Separately, Florida's largest credit union, the $4.4-billion Suncoast Schools FCU, has joined the CO-OP Network.
