SALISBURY, Md.-Credit Plus, Inc. is now offering instruction to mortgage professionals on how to better educate Spanish-speaking clients about the mortgage process. The company said that it is stressing that understanding the culture is key in closing transactions.

CU Biz Group Hits $300 Million

PORTLAND, Ore.-CU Business Group, a corporate-owned CUSO specializing in commercial services, said it has marked its third anniversary by surpassing the $300-million milestone in loan packages it has underwritten. About half of the loan business has been commercial real estate, while the other half has been "classic small business loans" the company said.

CU Business Group currently has 145 credit union clients. The company was founded by three people (it now has 12 employees) working from three laptops.

DEI Wins Award From Magazine

CINCINNATI-DEI, Inc., a design/build firm, received an award for Commercial Design Under 3,500 Square Feet in Cincinnati Magazine's 3rd Annual Interior Design Competition. Thirty-one interior design projects received top honors at Cincinnati Magazine's Third Annual Interior Design Awards dinner Aug. 11 at the Kingsgate Marriott on the University of Cincinnati's campus.
