Pacific Service Credit Union has donated $2,500 to fund a visit to the U.S. by the Permanent Secretary of Kenya, Benjamin Sogomo. Sogomo's visit stems from increased emphasis by the Kenyan government s on the role of credit unions in the economic development of that country. The credit union has been active in working with the World Council of Credit Unions, and has donated more than $18,000 to WOCCU for various projects since 2002. During his stay, Sogomo will visit NCUA, the National Association of State Chartered Credit Unions and the Pennsylvania Credit Union League, which has been active in Kenya.
