Pyramid CU Eyes Broader Base

TUCSON, Ariz. – Pyramid CU was approved by NCUA to convert to a federal charter that will cover more than 1 million residents in surrounding Pima County.

The $75 million credit union was founded in 1925 – four years before the state’s credit union statute – as a mutual investment group. It became one of the first officially chartered credit unions after passage of the state law in 1929 to serve Tucson postal employees.
