Randolph-Brooks' Smith To Retire At Year-End

LIVE OAK, Texas--Randy Smith, CEO at Randolph-Brooks FCU here, said he will retire effective Dec. 31. Smith will be succeeded by RBFCU's current president, Christopher W. O'Connor. Smith will assume the position of senior advisor to the Board of Directors.

Smith joined Randolph-Brooks in 1982 as VP-finance and was named president and CEO in 1987. During his career he has overseen growth to more than $5 billion in assets from $290 million. RBFCU currently has 410,000 members. Smith has served on the boards of CUNA Mutual and NAFCU, and has also been active in both local and national organizations outside of credit unions. In addition, he served 27 years with the United States Air Force (active duty and reserves).
