Realignment Has Begun On The NAFCU Board

As predicted in this space last week, the realignment on the NAFCU Board has begun, as Bill Cheney made his departure official (see related story, page 5).

The soon-to-be former CEO of Xerox FCU pretty much had to resign from the NAFCU Board as he begins work as president of the CUNA-affiliated California CU League.

Even though Cheney could have remained on the board-he is a sitting director of NAFCU-member WesCorp FCU-there would have been too much conflict.

Soon to follow Cheney off the NAFCU Board are current Chairman Mike Vadala, of Summit FCU, who will reach his term limit, and Brian McDonnell, the former president of Navy FCU, now retired.

Both directors will be replaced formally at NAFCU's annual convention this summer.
