Red-Handed Robber Hits CU

A bank robber who had a red dye pack explode as he was making his getaway, discarded the stolen loot and robbed a nearby credit union instead. The dye pack was hidden in a bag of cash the suspect stole from First Heritage Bank, but the robber dumped the bag after the dye pack exploded inside, spreading red dye.

About 15 minutes later the same robber held-up the branch of Snohomish County Public Utility District CU across town, police said. Police are reviewing the surveillance tapes at the credit union and bank in their search for the bandit. (c) 2006 The Credit Union Journal and SourceMedia, Inc.
