* Members of Houston Police FCU, Texas, were paid a $2.9-million bonus dividend and interest rebate.
* Fort Campbell FCU, Clarkesville, Tenn., paid a $2-million bonus.
* Mazuma CU, Kansas City, Mo., paid its members a year-end dividend of $720,000.
* HealthNet FCU, Memphis, paid members a 15% bonus on dividends and a 15% rebate on loans, with the exception of real estate and credit lines.
* Members of Atlantic Financial FCU, Baltimore, received a special 10% dividend at year-end, a total payout of $503,000 for 2007.
* SAFE FCU in Sumter, S.C., paid a bonus dividend and loan interest rebate of $2 million–double the 2006 reward. The $500-million credit union paid a whopping 30% dividend on regular savings accounts, except CDs, and 7% of interest paid on all loans, except credit cards.
* Missouri Corporate Credit Union, St. Louis, declared a bonus dividend of $100,000 paid to its member credit unions at the end of fiscal year 2007. MCCU also declared a 6% dividend to all Paid-in Capital holders for Q4.
* In Harrisburg, Penn., POSTMARK CU paid members a 5% bonus. The $65,000 payout represents 60% of the $30-million credit union’s net income for 2007.
* Communicating Arts Credit Union, Cincinnati, paid a 2007 bonus dividend and interest refund of more than $140,000.
* Berks Community FCU, Reading, Penn, paid its members a 17% bonus dividend at year-end. The special payout, which also included a 4% interest refund, totaled $90,000.
* Eastman CU, Kingsport, Tenn., paid members a dividend of $4 million–the 11th year in a row the credit union has made the payout.
* Oshkosh Truck CU, Wisconsin, paid members a refund of 8% of the total interest paid on loans for most of the year. The small credit union’s paid back a total of $38,000 to the 662 members who had loans, with 12 members getting more than $400.
* In Ogden, Utah, Goldenwest CU paid members a bonus dividend amounting to $600,000.
* Keesler FCU, Biloxi, Miss, paid a bonus amounting to $3.5 million.
* Gulf Winds FCU, Pensacola, Fla., paid its 41,000 members a one-time bonus dividend totaling $1 million.
* Chattanooga Area Schools FCU, Tennessee, returned to its 9,000 members a bonus dividend of $750,000.
* In Sitka, Alaska, ALPS FCU declared a year end Share Bonus Dividend and Loan Interest Refund for members, totaling $89,000.
* In Las Vegas, Plus Credit Union paid a bonus of more than $1.2 million.
* West Texas Credit Union, El Paso, returned $745,000 to members.
* In Fort Worth, Texas, American Airlines FCU paid more than $10 million to members, including a $30 “Superbonus” to members who maintained two or more account categories.
* In Albuquerque, N.M, New Mexico Educators paid a year-end bonus to members of $1.4 million.
* Scott Credit Union, Collinsville, Ill., returned almost $240,000 to members in the form of bonus dividends and, for the first time, a loan interest rebate.
* The $1.8-billion DFCU Financial announced paid a special dividend of more than $17 million to its 134,000 members. Individual members received anywhere from $50 to $10,000.
* Patriot FCU, Harrisburg, Penn., paid its members another $200,000 in bonus dividends for the fourth quarter, making a total of $1.1 million paid out by the $375-million credit union for 2007.
* Cornerstone Community FCU, Lockport, N.Y., paid members a bonus dividend for the fourth quarter of $488,000.
