Robber Sentenced To 15 Years Prison For $30,000 CU Heist

AUGUSTA, Ga. – -A man who admitted he took part in a carjacking and armed robbery at Richmond Community FCU was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison.

Drew Pollard and two accomplices took more than $30,000 in the December 2007 robbery. Just before the robbery, they carjacked a 74-year old man and used his vehicle during the armed robbery and attempted getaway.

Pollard received a five-year sentence for robbery and 10 more years
for using a gun during a violent crime.

There is no parole in the federal prison system.
