GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A man who just robbed a Campus USA branch here yesterday began throwing stolen cash out the window as he sped away in his getaway car on Interstate 75.
He was pulled over in Marion County about 30 minutes after the holdup, according to police.
The robbery occurred around 11 a.m. Minutes later, motorists on southbound Interstate 75 began calling police about a man throwing money from a car.
Police immediately closed the northbound lane of I-75 while deputies looked for money on the interstate.
