ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A man fleeing a Friday robbery of New Mexico Educators FCU on a scooter did not get far when he failed to make a turn and crashed into a police car, minutes after the holdup.
Police had no sooner broadcast the description of the noon-time robber when the driver of a Vespa scooter less than a mile from the credit union tried to turn and hit the police car.
The suspect’s identity and the extent of his injuries were not immediately available.
