ENFIELD, Conn. -- Two men accused of robbing the Enfield Community CU yesterday afternoon used some of the stolen cash to buy lunch and a music CD at a nearby mall, according to police.
Nelson Colon, 34,, and Eric Wawrzenski, 26, are both facing charges of third-degree robbery and first-degree larceny in connection with the robbery.
According to police, Colon entered the credit union and handed a note to an employee who handed over an undisclosed amount of money to Colon. Outside he met up with Wawrzenski and the two ran to Enfield Square Mall where they spent some of the loot on food and music. Police said the men bought food at Ruby Tuesday and Panera and a music CD at FYE.
Although only Colon entered the credit union, police had an idea more than one person was involved because the note contained a reference to "we."
