RIVERSIDE, Calif.-Police believe they have ended the bank-robbery spree - from Riverside to Rialto - of a slight, purse-carrying man dressed in a wig and women's makeup.

Darryl Depastino, dubbed the "Masquerade Bandit," is believed to have robbed Altura CU last month and was arrested shortly after he allegedly held up a Guaranty Bank branch.
In the last bank heist the suspect disguised himself as a female while handing a threatening note to the teller, police said. He demanded large bills, warning that if the teller didn't comply, things would "get ugly."
After the credit union hold-up, tellers told police the suspect's makeup resembled that of a clown. The suspect is being investigated for possible involvement in other area robberies.
