WARNER ROBINS, Ga. -- Robins FCU held fundraisers in branches across the mid-state in order to raise funds for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life and raised almost $49,000 for the cause.
Over 100 employees participated in the events in their respective counties, and $48,830.97 was raised for the American Cancer Society.
Robins Federal branches hosted cookouts and breakfasts, sold candy bars and held other fundraisers in the months leading up to the Relay for Life events in each county. Funds raised will be used to fight cancer through research, education, patient services, advocacy and rehabilitation. Relay for Life is a community event to celebrate those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones, and fight back against this disease.
