BELLEVUE, Neb. SAC FCU plans to open a branch inside a new Walmart Supercenter, under construction downtown.

Earlier this summer the $670-million credit union opened a branch in the Peony Park Hy-Vee. It is building another branch inside its new headquarters, under construction in Papillion.

SAC Federal moved to Nebraska as Strategic Air Command FCU in 1948 to serve the people working at Offutt Air Force Base, which commanded the nation’s strategic bombers and intercontinental ballistic missiles during the Cold War.
