Saint Francis FCU Warns Members On Missing Data Tape

TULSA, Okla. – Saint Francis FCU officials said 8,400 account holders' information may be at risk after the loss of a backup tape that contained personal information.

The tape may have been destroyed during a trash removal process, but this has not yet been confirmed, the credit union said.

Officials said they think there is only a minimal risk of “information compromise” for members. However, they ask that people take these steps to keep financial information secure: Monitor and reconcile your accounts at the credit union; check your credit report for any unusual activity; do not pay fraudulent credit card invoices or charges; and notify the police if an incident occurs.
