San Diego County CU Introduces Mobile Chat Banking

SAN DIEGO – San Diego County CU is the first credit union to offer live mobile chat services for its members using iPhones and Android smartphones, the credit union giant announced this morning.

The $5.8 billion credit union is only one of two U.S.-based companies, the other being Cisco, that is currently offering live mobile chat capabilities for both iPhone and Android mobile devices.

The credit union is providing its new customer benefit through a partnership with LivePerson, Inc., a provider of real-time intelligent engagement solutions that increase conversations and improve customer experiences. The company’s intelligent engagement is driven by a cloud-based platform that enables businesses to proactively connect in real-time with their customers.

“Our customers who carry the iPhone or Android smartphones can now connect in real-time through seamless integration with a live SDCCU customer service representative for an enhanced customer experience,” said Teresa Halleck, president of the credit union. “Our team of experienced and knowledgeable representatives are standing by, ready to support our customers and create meaningful, personalized connections across multiple secure online channels.”
