SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – Santa Cruz Community CU has hired well-known community development credit union activist Bill Myers as interim CEO, while the $86 million CDCU searches for a permanent chief.
Myers, the former CEO at Alternatives FCU, will succeed Ginger McNally, who left earlier this year after eight years to pursue a role in social and economic development.
Myers retired in 2007 after spending 28 years at Alternatives, the Ithaca, N.Y., CDCU he founded in 1979 and has been working as a credit union consultant since then.
