N. CHARLESTON, S.C. – South Carolina FCU has rolled out a “Best Mortgage Guarantee” in which it allows comparison shopping with any competitor’s rate.

“Buying a new home can be stressful on many levels. With our Best Mortgage Guarantee, members are reassured they’re receiving the best overall deal,” said VP-Mortgages Marino Cecchi in a released statement. “A mortgage is more than just an interest rate – there are other expenses such as discount points and origination fees that increase the Annual Percentage Rate – we factor all of those components in our mortgage offer.”
The Best Mortgage Guarantee is available to existing members as well as new members, the credit union said.
