GREENVILLE, N.C. – A local man was charged with cashing nine checks that didn’t belong to him at Navy FCU and State Employees CU branches.

Aaron Simpson, 23, is accused of obtaining $9,390 from Navy FCU between May 16 and May 29 by cashing five checks - two for $1,800 and three for $1,900 - that did not belong to him. He is also accused of obtaining $5,758 from State Employees CU between June 8 and June 12 by presenting four checks - one for $1,520, one for $800, one for $1,563 and one for $1,875.
Simpson is also accused of conspiring with another to obtain the property.
