ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Carolinas CU Foundation awarded a $10,082 grant to Eblen Charities to expand its Food for Thought program providing elementary school students with snacks. The program currently provides snacks in 600 classrooms in 58 schools in two counties, and will be expanded into four more counties with the credit union funding. In addition, the Western Chapter of the North Carolina CU League said it will raise additional money to help keep the bins stocked with snacks.
