ATLANTA – SecureWorks, which has been in the forefront of detecting new malware plaguing credit unions, has obtained $31.5 million in new funding.
Proceeds are expected to be used to finance the company’s $50 million acquisition of VeriSign’s managed security services business unit. The deal gave SecureWorks a customer base of 2,600 clients.
The company's investors include GE Capital, Mellon Bank, Noro-Moseley Partners, SBK Capital, ITC Holdings, and Alliance Technology Ventures.
