Several Credit Unions Select COWWW

COWWW Software, a provider of web-based archiving, retrieval, and document distribution solutions, said that Plymouth, Mich.-based Michigan Educational CU has selected its e-statements Plus solution.

Mihcigan Educational Credit Un ion CFO Mark Pugliese said the credit union is saving up to $1.75 per member per month opting for e-statements instead of receiving a hard copy statement in the mail.

With more than 1,900 members using e-statements, that's a savings of just over $3,300 each month, a projected $40,000 a year savings.

In addition, COWWW said that the $258-million, Phoenix-based SunWest FCU has chosen its web-based COLD/Imaging, scanning, and eStatements Plus (service bureau) solutions, while LANCO Federal Credit Union chose its web-based check and driver's license imaging solution to help it enhance security.

"The great thing is that this allows CU to stop asking their members to show their driver's licenses, which can be an annoyance for them," the company said.
