Several CUs Roll Out WRG's E-Statements

The $1-billion Washington State Employees Credit Union has launched Wescom Resource Group's e-statement application solution. The credit union is using WRG's electronic statement technology to save hardcopy statement processing costs, allowing members to receive their statements in one day, and providing 12 months of statement archival storage, noted WRG, a CUSO of Wescom Credit Union, Pasadena, Calif.

Separately, since the launch of WRG's e-statement solution last September, Matanuska Valley FCU said it experienced a decrease in member calls and an increase in online usage. The Palmer, Alaska-based credit union uses WRG's e-statement technology to provide online statements integrated with draft images, allowing members to retrieve important account information at their convenience. The $200-million CU said it has further eliminated about 150 member requests each month, including obtaining copies of checks and statements. Approximately 15% of the credit union's home banking users use e-statements, but the 32,000-member CU has set a goal of pushing that number to 50%.

Finally, WRG said it has partnered with OFX (Open Financial Exchange) solution provider Innovision Corp. The partnership provides for the integration of Innovision's OFX protocol solution, Innovision Financial Server, with WRG's home banking platform.
