FLINT, Mich. - (03/18/05) -- The wife of the local sheriff, whowas working in Family Community CU, was maced in the face andthreatened with a pistol after she followed an armed robber out ofthe credit union after Thursday's hold-up. Janett Pickell, wife ofGenesee County Sheriff Robert Pickell, was working alone in thecredit union branch when a gun-toting robber demanded money thenreached into the cash drawer and pulled out cash. Janet Pickellfollowed him out to a getaway car where an accomplice of the robbersprayed her in the face with pepper spray and confronted her with agun, before fleeing in the car.
