Singing River FCU Stretches Bras Across Mississippi River To Fight Breast Cancer

MOSS POINT, Miss. -- Singing River FCU collected almost 4,000 bras from the community and strung them across the Moss Point Bridge, all with the hope of giving breast cancer some eye catching attention.

For each bra collected, the credit union donated one dollar to breast cancer research. After hanging in Moss Point, the bras will be sent to Vicksburg to be used the City's own Bras Across the Bridge event.

Many of the bras were decorated and hung in honor or memory of someone who struggled with breast cancer. Walkers could even leave a note of encouragement.
