South Dakota Neighbors Bell FCU, Midwest Partners FCU Combine

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Bell FCU (formerly Sioux Falls FCU) and Midwest Partners FCU – two credit unions across the street from each other – have agreed to merge, creating a $65 million credit union serving 9,000 members.

Due to the proximity, Bell Federal will move into Midwest Partners’ main branch. Midwest Partners also has two other branches. All employees will remain on staff. A new board will be established comprised of an equal number of elected directors from both credit unions.

"Both credit unions are financially sound,” said Jeff Schmidt, president of Midwest Partners. “The merger will further strengthen our competitive position, allowing us to better serve the financial needs of our members by providing even more value with better rates, fewer fees and more services.”
