Special Session On Untapping Value To Be Held

LAS VEGAS - The National Credit Union Foundation will host what it is calling a "Special Thought Leader" session during America's Credit Union Conference here this week titled, "Untapped: Creating Value in Underserved Markets." The session, scheduled for June 5 from 10:30-11:45 a.m., will focus on opportunities to attract new members and new revenue from underserved markets in ways that create benefits for credit unions and their communities.

The objective: to help credit unions grow while making a social impact, according to the NCUF. The Untapped session will be led by John Weiser, who authored a book with the same name and facilitates NCUF's new educational program, the Social Impact Management Institute. "Institutions who partner with and serve underserved communities can reap long-term benefits," Weiser said. "Credit unions are uniquely positioned to benefit from the emergence and growth of underserved markets."
