Spirit Of Alaska FCU Adds New Branch

FAIRBANKS, Alaska – Spirit of Alaska FCU opened its newest branch along the Johansen Expressway.

The state-of-the-art branch includes energy-efficient construction, a solar array, a lounge area with free Wi-Fi, a fireplace and a two-story waterfall. A large conference room and safe-deposit boxes are available.

Spirit of Alaska FCU was chartered in 1960 for school employees north of the Alaska Range, and currently includes eligibility for everyone in the Fairbanks North Star Borough. In 2007 it changed its name from Northern Schools Federal Credit Union to reflect its broader membership and Interior Alaska roots.
