State Employees CU Joins First-TimeHomebuyers Program

RALEIGH, N.C. - (01/19/05) -- State Employees' CU said Tuesday ithas the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta's First-Time HomebuyerProgram. Under the program, low to moderate-income members who arepurchasing their first home and financing it through the creditunion may be eligible for grants of up to $5,000 to assist withdown payment and/or closing costs. In addition, no repayment ofthese funds will be required if the member remains in the home forat least five years.
