State Regulator Takes CEO Role At EFCU

WESTERVILLE, Ohio — Michael Wettrich has been named CEO of Education First Credit Union.

Wettrich takes the role at the $87 million CU after serving as deputy superintendent for CUs within the Department of Financial Institutions in the Ohio Department of Commerce.

He succeeds Tara Neiswonger, who left the credit union earlier this month.

In June, Wettrich was named chairman of the board of NASCUS after former chairman John Kolhoff resigned. NASCUS recently named Stephen S. Pleger chairman, following Wettrich's departure.
