TUKWILA, Wash. - (05/30/03) -- The BECU Foundation, a charitablefoundation run by Boeing Employees CU, said it awarded 40 $2,000scholarships to students members of the credit union. It was the largest group of scholarships awarded in the program'seight years. The $4.4 billion credit union endowed the foundationwith $1 million in 1996, a year after the program began, to awardthe scholarships each year.
