KANSAS CITY, Mo. - (10/15/04) -- Credit Union of America said it hasawarded 15 teachers small grants to help them pay for a variety ofclassroom projects. The grants are awarded twice a year for specialprojects or activities. The $3,200 in grants went for projects suchas the purchase of reference maps for world history, math books,calculators and protractors for math class, videos and chessmaterials.
The order stops New York projects at the door. It does not reach the loans and bonds already financing the buildout.
