Summit CU Offers Me2 Energy Efficiency Loans

MADISON, Wis. – Summit is partnering with Milwaukee Energy Efficiency, dubbed Me2, to provide a special loan program for City of Milwaukee residents.

Me2 is a federally funded program to help homeowners make their properties more energy efficient.

With Summit’s loans members have the option to finance up to 100% of the costs approved through the Me2 program. Loans are available for as little as $1,000, up to $15,000, with low rates and flexible repayment terms.

Borrowers must be: • Located within the City of Milwaukee • Owner-occupied or non-owner-occupied single-family home, duplex or triplex (3 units or less) • Owner of building must be listed as an individual and not as a trust, LLC, or form of business • No delinquent property taxes due to the City of Milwaukee • Potential energy savings estimated at 15% or above during initial assessment and homeowner agrees to install a mix of recommended measures that is reasonably expected to achieve 15% or more
