Summit CU Partners On ‘Me2’ Energy Loans

MADISON, Wis. – Summit CU has joined Milwaukee Energy Efficiency to offer low-rate “Me2” or “Green Madison” energy efficiency loans in Madison and Milwaukee.

The programs are designed to help homeowners make their properties more energy efficient by offering affordable loans for home energy upgrades, incentives for energy assessments and improvements, and free technical expertise to help customers make the right decisions for their homes. Qualifying city residents have the option to finance up to 100% of home energy improvement costs approved through the Me2 and Green Madison programs. Loans are available through Summit Credit Union for as little as $1,000 and up to $50,000, with low rates and flexible repayment terms up to 15 years.

Me2 and Green Madison are part of a $20 million federally funded grant that Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation applied for and received on behalf of the cities of Milwaukee, Madison and Racine. The grant is part of the BetterBuildings program, an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act partnership.

The Me2 program was launched in Milwaukee on March 1; Green Madison was launched in Madison on March 22.
