Survey On CUs, Health Insurance

CUNA said it has a new survey that shows credit unions are doing well compared to other small employers across the nation at providing employer-sponsored health insurance coverage to workers.

CUNA noted that the smallest credit unions, like the smallest firms across America, are least likely to offer group health insurance to their employees, but it estimated that 97% of all full-time credit union employees work at a credit union that offers coverage. "With the continued increase of health insurance costs, including coverage as part of an overall benefits package can be an advantage for credit unions in recruitment, retention, and overall employee satisfaction," CUNA stated.
