White Paper On Mobile Potential

MADISON, Wis. - The CUNA Technology Council has released a white paper, "Maximizing Mobile Banking's Potential," that provides guidance on how credit unions can get the most from the implementation of mobile banking.

The paper is based on data gathered as part of a recent survey of Spokane Teachers CU members about their mobile phone usage and mobile banking interests, discusses the different implementation options available, specific features of most interest to users, and potential security concerns that should be considered by credit unions looking to offer mobile banking to members. JPMorgan Chase Best Among Banks

BOSTON-The mobile banking offering available through JPMorgan Chase is the best among the largest 25 banks in the country, according to analysis by Javelin Strategy & Research. JPMorgan Chase's solution was followed closely by Wells Fargo and Bank of America.

Acording to Javelin, Chase offers more mobile banking features than any other bank, including P2P payments and PFM. Chase replaces USAA atop the list, having won the previous two years. The results were released as part of Javelin's Mobile Banking Financial Institution Scorecard, which didn't actually download the mobile apps and test and review them. Instead, Javelin took a mystery shopper approach in that they reviewed bank websites and called customer service representatives to see how well banks promote and explain their mobile offerings.
