NCUA IT Officers To Offer Risk Management Help
AUSTIN-NCUA's IT security officers will be on hand to offer guidance at the National CU IT Risk Management Summit hosted by CU Information Security Professionals Association.
The meeting, scheduled for Jan. 29-30 in Fort Worth, Texas, will feature an NCUA panel made up of IT security officers from each of the agency's regions to discuss new and pending technology-related regulatory requirements.
"We are very pleased the NCUA will be returning," said Kelly Dowell, Executive Director of CUISPA. "At this year's Summit the NCUA was able to visit with attendees and experience, first hand, the need for, and value of, cooperation on these critical issues."
By bringing the regulated and the regulators together outside of the examination process, CUISPA said it hopes to facilitate a more relaxed, open dialogue between the two groups.

Legacy FCU Website Wins Summit Creative Award
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-Legacy FCU recently took home honors for its website, winning a Silver Award for Consumer Product from Summit Creative Awards.
Legacy was recognized for its efforts to redesign its website following a name change initiative. The CU worked with Customer Connection, to incorporate real-time streaming video into Legacy's website.
