Technology News: CUNA Tech Council Recognizes Cisco

The CUNA Technology Council presented its fifth annual Best of Show Award to Cisco Systems, Inc., for its Cisco VT Advantage, which enables Cisco IP telephone users to experience video, face-to-face communications. The council presented the award on Nov. 16 at the Bank Administration Institute's Retail Delivery Conference in Orlando, Fla.

The presentation marked the fifth year that the CTC has presented a Best of Show award to an exhibitor that demonstrates a commitment to delivering technology that will further the growth of products and services in the credit union marketplace.

Tom Kroen, chair of the CUNA Technology Council and assistant vice president of info systems for First Tech CU in Beaverton, Ore., presented the award to Jim Bright, industry marketing manager of U.S. financial services for Cisco.

VT Advantage is a video telephone product that uses VT Advantage software, a USB camera, and a Cisco IP phone attached to a PC to place and receive video telephone calls.
