2 New DNA Solutions Debut

GLASTONBURY, Conn.-Open Solutions, Inc. said it has launched two solutions that "will fundamentally change the way technology is developed for community-based financial institutions." The solutions: DNAappstore (www.dnaappstore.com), an online marketplace to advance global collaboration and innovation, and DNAcreator, a suite of tools for creating applications. "Financial institutions using Open Solutions' DNA core technology, along with partners and independent developers, will be able to leverage DNAcreator to build and share custom applications (DNAapps) that exponentially broaden a client's core banking capabilities," the company said. CUs Look To CU*BASE

SPOKANE, Wash.- CU*NorthWest, a regional provider of CU*BASE core data processing services, said that the $36-million Inland Valley FCU of Fontana, Calif., and the Cal Poly FCU, Pomona, Calif., have selected the company for core processing services. The CUs have also selected CU*NorthWest's It's Me 24/7 Online & Mobile Web solutions.

Separately, CU*NorthWest reported its programming resources are being used to support a conversion of the $129-million Taunton FCU in Massachusetts through a partnership with Alabama-based CU*South. Both CU*NorthWest and CU*South regionally provide CU*BASE core data processing.

 

Dwolla Wins Best In Show

DES MOINES, Iowa-Dwolla, the online, location-based, social, and mobile payment platform supported by The Members Group (TMG), was named one of seven 'Best in Show' technologies by attendees of FinovateSpring 2011. WESCO, Cisco Team Up

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-WESCO Net, a network solutions integrator and division of CU*Answers, has partnered with Cisco WebEx to deliver a new, secure Support Center service to its client base. The new platform provides a broader feature set for improved remote support capabilities along with robust session security, auditing, and reporting, the company said.

Separately, WESCO Net said it has expanded its data storage offerings via a partnership with Dell Compellent storage area networks (SAN). It has also rolled out a new comprehensive Security Education series.

Find A CU Now On iPhone

LIVONIA, Mich.-League InfoSight has introduced a "Find a CU" iPhone app. Developed by CU Solutions Group, it is free to download and allows members and potential members to search using their location or a zip code to get branch listings, detailed information and maps, and also highlights what makes credit unions unique and explains what they are and how to join, along with other information.

 

Single Sign-On Now Offered

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-With the recent 11.0 CU*BASE release enhancement, CU*Answers said a single sign-on for ProDOC and CU*BASE is now available. ProDOC is the interface used with CU*BASE to capture electronic photo IDs as well as to retrieve the ID image when users select the Verify ID button during the member transaction process.

CUDL Enhances iPhone App

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.-Credit Union Direct Lending (CUDL), which administers the CUDL AutoSMART vehicle shopping website (www.cudlautosmart.com), has announced two new features for its AutoSMART iPhone App: "Apply for a Loan" and "Sell Your Ride. "The new Apply for a Loan feature provides credit unions with a mobile solution that helps retain member loan opportunities," the company said. "The new Sell Your Ride element of the AutoSMART App allows members to post their personal vehicles, including automobiles, motorcycles, boats and personal watercraft, and RVs for sale to their credit union's AutoSMART website via their iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
