Montvale, N.J.-Tellagent debuted its "Freedom Centre" eBank, an advanced full-service kiosk designed to help underserved consumers cash checks and pay bills, at the recent New Jersey Credit Union League Annual Conference and Exhibit in Atlantic City. The kiosks have a number of features including ATM cash dispensing, check cashing, electronic bill pay and the ability to buy prepaid phone and wireless cards as well as gift cards.

The firm is also working on payroll deposit, money transfer, e-banking and shared branching features. The eBank is currently deployed to supermarkets in the Bronx and Brooklyn, as well as a branch of the Lower East Side People's Federal Credit Union.
