JACKSON, Mich. – A former teller and vault clerk was jailed Thursday for embezzling about $100,000 from American 1 FCU.
Jessica Morgan, 31, pleaded guilty in October to one count of embezzlement and was sentenced yesterday to a year in Jackson County Jail.
"Most people who go out and rob banks get a few hundred dollars, or a few thousand," Circuit Judge John McBain told Morgan. "They (the credit union) trusted you and, frankly, you were stealing them blind."
