Texans CU Signs On As 1st Corporate Partner With Team

Texans Credit Union has signed on to be the first corporate partner with Frisco Professional Baseball, the parent to a AA baseball team that will move here from Shreveport, La. effective with the 2003 season.

Frisco Professional Baseball is projecting it will draw 700,000 fans from Collin and Denton counties to its new $23-million ballpark each year. Texans Credit Union has 145,000 members, 85% of whom live in Collin County and the northern suburbs of Dallas County.

The baseball club, which announced on July 4 that its name will be the Frisco Rough Riders, said that it has already sold out one- third of its tickets for next year

"This partnership is a good fit for both organizations because our businesses parallel each other in many ways," said Jim Bryan, Texans Credit Union CEO.
