RICHARDSON, Texas - (10/03/05) -- Texans CU said it signed athree-year contract with SBC Communications for IP telephony andnetwork services. The new will provide the $1.5 billion creditunion. Under the deal, SBC companies will provide SBC PremierSERVIP Telephony Advantage managed services for Voice over IP. SBCcompanies will also provide SBC PremierSERV Network-based VirtualPrivate Network, SBC PremierSERV Data Center Hosting and OPT-E-MANservice. These services will provide a converged IP network forvoice, video and data, which will result in increased efficiencies,lower costs and simplified network management, to all of the $1.5billion credit union's 26 branches.
