LAKE JACKSON -- Texas Dow Employees CU said it has agreed to service mortgage loans for Habitat for Humanity of Southern Brazoria County, adding members of the charitable home building organization to its field of membership, as well. The organization, which builds homes for low income residents, will be able to focus more on its core mission by eliminating the mortgage servicing function. The deal will also benefit families of the charitable group by making them eligible for savings and checking accounts at the credit union.
